SmartPOS is sold in Pakistan in rupees, at prices set for Pakistani shops rather than converted from dollars. Prices are shown before applicable sales tax. The software runs in Urdu, written right to left, and in English, and sales and support happen on WhatsApp.

Federal and provincial sales tax
Sales tax on goods is federal and collected by the Federal Board of Revenue at a standard rate, while sales tax on services is set by the provinces: the Sindh Revenue Board, the Punjab Revenue Authority, and the Islamabad Capital Territory for services there. SmartPOS stores each rate and combines them into tax groups per product. FBR requires Tier-1 retailers to integrate their POS with its system; SmartPOS is not FBR-integrated, so if you are Tier-1, tell us before you buy.

01Are Pakistan prices in rupees?
Yes. Every price is set in PKR for the Pakistani market, shown before applicable sales tax. They are not dollar prices converted.

02Is SmartPOS integrated with FBR?
No. SmartPOS is not FBR POS-integrated. If you are a Tier-1 retailer who must integrate, tell us before you buy so you do not sign up for something you cannot use.

03Can customers pay with JazzCash or Easypaisa?
Yes, as payment types. The payment goes through JazzCash or Easypaisa, and SmartPOS records it against the sale.

04Can I keep udhaar (credit) accounts?
Yes. Sell on credit to a customer, and their ledger shows every sale and payment until the balance is cleared.

05Does it work in Urdu?
Yes. The interface and receipts can run in Urdu, right to left, and each staff member can choose Urdu or English.

06What happens when the power goes out?
SmartPOS is hosted, so your data is safe on our servers. On a laptop or tablet with battery and mobile data you can keep selling; a UPS for the router and printer helps.
